The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is bringing “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” to Robinson Performance Hall Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. The symphony, created by the French composer Paul Dukas, is based on a 1797 poem written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
This piece is widely known to generations of filmgoers as the music that accompanies the antics of Mickey Mouse in the still- popular 1940 Walt Disney concert film “Fantasia.” The program also consists of Mozart’s “Piano Concerto No. 20, K. 466” and Stravinsky’s “Petrushka.” Ticket prices range from $16 to $68.
