LumoXchange Founder and CEO Maf Sonko had limited options to send funds to Gambia. It cost $27 to send $250 and took four days.
“Not being able to easily compare fees and exchange rates frustrated me, so I decided to do something about it,” Sonko said.
LumoXchange, incorporated in 2015, is a currency exchange marketplace that helps users find favorable exchange rates and make international payments on one platform.
“We chose Little Rock because of the excitement and support for technology startups,” Sonko said. “We want to be part of the journey making Little Rock a regional hub for entrepreneurs.”
