Prep for End-of-Year Giving

As the end of another year approaches, many are taking the time to give back.

“Around the holidays, many become hyper-aware of what they have and those less fortunate,” said Lea Whitlock, communications director of the Arkansas Community Foundation. “This time of year spurs action.”

ACF recommends first deciding what type of gift to give. Consider a non-cash gift that can help reduce capital gains, avoid estate taxes or minimize taxable income.

From there, ACF can aid in selecting your charity of choice and making your contribution. Nonprofits are vetted through its network of affiliates throughout the state.
