The Milken Family Foundation presented the Milken Educator Award to Dawn McLain of North Little Rock Middle School.

“Ms. McLain embodies the qualities of a student-focused educator. She inspires those around her to learn, grow, take risks and develop a students-first mentality,” said Arkansas Department of Education Commissioner Johnny Key. “I’m extremely proud of Ms. McLain and thankful to the Milken Family Foundation for supporting such a deserving educator here in Arkansas.”

Milken Educators are selected based on career achievement and potential. In addition to the $25,000, the honor includes membership to the National Milken Educator Network.
