Before you share, beware #BanksNeverAskThat

by The 100 Companies

Every day, thousands of people fall for fraudulent emails, texts and calls from scammers pretending to be a bank. These are commonly referred to as phishing scams. Consumers should remember “Banks Never Ask That” when receiving unexpected communication.

Often this communication is designed to trick you into providing confidential information (like account numbers, passwords or PINs) either online or over the phone to someone imitating a bank employee. Home Bank is participating in the American Bankers Association’s Banks Never Ask That campaign to keep customers aware.

You can take quizzes to test and improve your cybercrime knowledge at banksneveraskthat.com.
