The Women’s Foundation of Arkansas’ annual Power of the Purse luncheon will take place Oct. 3. In honor of the event, The Arkansas 100 will cover aspects of the WFA through a series.
The WFA began in 1998 after Arkansas Business Publishing Group CEO Olivia Farrell and Arkansas Community Foundation President Pat Lile brought together a group of local women leaders to work on projects for girls and women in Arkansas. From that stemmed a partnership between these women and the annual ABPG’s “Top 100 Women in Arkansas” luncheon to form the WFA. Its mission: STEM education and economic development.
