King Biscuit Blues Festival Returns to Helena

by

Tens of thousands of blues musicians and fans from around the country will travel to Helena, Ark., for the King Biscuit Blues Festival Oct. 5-8, for its 31st year. It’s named after the famous, longest ever running radio show “King Biscuit Time,” founded in 1941 and still playing today.

The three-day festival includes an all-star lineup, BBQ cooking competition, 5K race, blues symposium and more.

What started as an event planned by the Sonny Boy Blues Society to save Helena’s dying community in the mid-1980s has turned into one of the foremost blues showcases in America.
