PopUp in the Rock is gearing up to take on the Stifft Station Commercial District on June 16. This project from studioMAIN and Create Little Rock sets up temporary installations that turn public spaces into creative, community-oriented areas.
The goal is to knit together the neighborhoods of Capitol View/Stifft Station to the south of Markham Street and Hillcrest to the north at Markham Street and Kavanaugh Boulevard. This year’s plan consists of a four-week economic impact demonstration to bring temporary tenants to vacant storefronts, while testing new road patterns to make a more inviting environment for pedestrians.
