Hope Watermelon Festival brings fun for all ages

Hope, Arkansas knows a thing or two about watermelons. A previous Guinness World Record holder, Hope not only grows watermelons, but they have a whole festival for them.

The 46th annual Hope Watermelon Festival takes place August 11-13 with food, fun and friends.

Some of the activities include the Watermelon Festival Parade, a pageant and even Watermelon Olympics for adults and juniors where teams compete in wacky relays. Seed-spitting and watermelon eating contests are a must for entertainment. Plus, you can join in the 5K, catch a concert, shop, see the car show, or grab an ice-cold slice of watermelon.
