Unique Ways to Explore the Arkansas River

Though the Arkansas River flows through four states, we’ll proudly call it ours. It’s a defining feature of many areas including Wine Country, Fort Smith and Little Rock.

Here are some ways to take advantage of the river’s scenery and activities.

• The River Trail features various activities from birdwatching to horseback riding. There are even dog parks along the way.

• Enjoy kayaking at Pinnacle Mountain State Park.

• The locks and dams along the river are some of the best in the country for fishing. Pine Bluff claims “Bass Capital of the World” and catfish are frequently caught in these areas.
