Recently, our boss planned a surprise outing for the whole team. The only hint was we needed boots with ankle support. None of us expected a five-hour expedition underground.
The six of us, plus a guide, hiked, slid, climbed, army-crawled and hyperventilated. I could only relay it to my friends and family by equating it to hiking Pinnacle underground five times.
From the bats, stalagmites to something called “cave bacon,” it truly felt unearthly and so incredibly fascinating. Though I was sore for days, I would quickly recommend the tour to anyone looking for a Natural State adventure.
