Claire Allison Brings Hunger Awareness to UA

by

Claire Allison is finding ways to work with students to alleviate the hunger problem so many are unaware of.

As Program Coordinator with the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Arkansas and advisor for leadership committees, Allison creates goals and action plans with students, develops program initiatives, manages relationships with program partners and writes grants to fund students’ work.

“The awareness of food waste is growing (through developed internal food recovery programs), and we are continuing to find new ways to divert wholesome food from the landfill and get it to people who need it,” Claire Allison said.
