“I love being in the middle of the energy and the action.” Matt DeCample is no stranger to being the center of attention. The former television reporter, who later became the spokesperson to Gov. Mike Beebe, now leads communication efforts for the Arkansas Cinema Society. But one foot will always remain on stage for DeCample as he continues his work with local improv troupe ImprovLittleRock.
Host Natalie Ghidotti talks to DeCample about the importance of a robust film culture in our state and his public battle with cancer.

What are your top three favorite movies?
I always struggle with this question. Three movies I can watch over and over? Almost Famous, The Shawshank Redemption, The Social Network.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I was often a very shy, introverted child.
Who/what has influenced your path to improv the most?
Robin Williams. The world is open for play.
If someone narrated your life, who would you want to be the narrator?
What’s your “Back in my day, we…”?
Didn’t have as much constant stimulation and had to use our imaginations and creativity more often.
Currently, what’s your favorite meal/dish in Little Rock?
The Pantry’s lasagna.
