Regional Recycling District Supplies Grants to Pulaski County Schools

by

In 2015, Regional Recycling District began the Recycle Advantage School Grants Program in Pulaski County. Private and public schools for grades first through 12th in the county are eligible to apply for a $1,000 grant to benefit the school’s recycling program. So far, $20,000 has been awarded in grants.

A panel reviews applications submitted and selects up to 10 recipients. Winners are selected based on applications that show true motivation to establish both creative and sustainable programs.

In the past, schools have used the grant to purchase recycling bins, create outdoor classrooms, replace disposable lunch trays and more.
