RaftUp is redefining boating safety and recreation. The app, based out of Little Rock, was founded in June of 2015. Its core component, Social SOS, was inspired by two boating tragedies.
“Those two incidents validated the problem of boaters getting stranded, lost or worse and having no clear way to share their location with friends, family, marinas or emergency personnel,” said founder and CEO Corey Boelkens.
The app also incorporates social aspects. “RaftUp could be used to replace paper maps for lakes, rivers, streams and coastal locations across the US, as well as becoming the social community for recreational boaters.”
