Year-end giving is upon us

End-of-year giving will kick off with #GivingTuesday, which falls on Nov. 27. It is time to make last-minute tax deductions to your favorite local nonprofit. To qualify for this calendar year, your gift must be received by Dec. 31.

If you donate your time to an organization, you can claim your mileage, just make sure to have appropriate records. Also, keep in mind you might make a greater impact with one large gift rather than spreading out your donation. Consider making your gift unrestricted so it can be used to assist in the area of greatest need.
