From backyard hobbyist to food truck, farmers markets and finally a restaurant in an old white house … Jordan Wright of Wright’s Barbecue has reached a milestone with this honor. The BBQ joint is famous for its smoked meat and open, 100% wood fire flame on a pit that runs around the clock.
Wood is sourced locally from downed pecan trees in the state. The menu is meat as far as the eye can see, by the pound or plate (brisket, ribs, pork and burnt bacon ends) accompanied by all the trimmings (mac ‘n cheese, cole slaw, collard greens and more).
