Botswanan Artist at Pulaski Tech Works to Make a Difference

by

Louise is an art student from Botswana working to make a difference in people’s lives through her art.

“I feel like I have moved to the closest version of home that exists in this country,” said Louise Kenga Lorata Mandumbwa. “Southern hospitality is similar to African hospitality.”

Mandumbwa is an art student at Pulaski Tech from Botswana.

“I’m really trying to work hard, but also trying to think of very practical, real ways in which I could help people because that’s where my heart is at the end of the day,” Mandumbwa said.

To work with groups and organizations that use art as a means to directly and physically influence people’s lives for the better is Mandumbwa’s goal.
