Conell is the author of “Subcortical,” which recently won The Story Prize Spotlight Award. Her story “The Lock Factory” received the Chicago Tribune’s Nelson Algren Literary Contest grand prize. She’s a visiting professor at Sewanee: The University of the South.

Lisa is a poet and teacher based in Nashville, Tennessee. The recipient of an Academy of American Poets prize, her poetry has appeared in many different publications including “Best New Poets 2015.”
