The University of Central Arkansas and Metova, Inc. will launch the Arkansas Coding Academy on UCA’s campus this August.
Currently, the first and only course offered is a 12-week boot camp in Android operating systems. No experience is required, but you’ll be an expert in Java and Android OS by completion.
The academy goes hand-in-hand with Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s coding focus, as Arkansas is the first state to create a law in 2015 requiring all public and charter high schools to offer computer science classes. Education in the industry in this ever-changing tech world is crucial.
