Southern clothing brand Lauren James has grown from a living room operation to a competitive retail leader in just three years. CEO and founder Lauren Stokes attributes such success to a niche aesthetic and family values.
“Timing is everything. It worked for us in two ways,” Stokes said. “There wasn’t a prevalent southern women’s brand in the market and I wasn’t about to leave my newborn son. Those two realizations collided with a dream I developed. I think the classic, southern aesthetic I loved and the family I wanted to raise really manifested itself in the brand. People instantly responded.”
