Walmart continues to invest in e-commerce business as it tests a new service that delivers groceries straight to your fridge.
The Bentonville-based retail giant announced it’s partnering with smart lock startup August Home, which offers keyless entry into your home through your smartphone.
Notifications are sent upon the arrival of the driver, who enters a one-time use code through the August Home app. Users can watch the delivery process through August home-security cameras.
The new in-fridge delivery service is currently being tested in the Silicon Valley market with August Home users who have opted in.
