The Johnny Cash Heritage Festival kicks off Oct. 19 at the historic Dyess colony, the boyhood home of the Man in Black.
The inaugural three-day festival includes an educational symposium, regional music, arts and crafts booths, and food vendors. A limited number of tickets remains for the concert in the former cotton field next to the Cash home.
The concert, set for Saturday, Oct. 21, will feature Kris Kristofferson and Cash’s daughter, Rosanne. Cash’s siblings, Joanne and Tommy Cash, and Arkansas-native Buddy Jewell will also perform.
