Predictions for the hottest Halloween costumes of 2023

With Halloween on the horizon, we have thoughts on the costume trends we’re sure to see the most:

• Box office hits: There’s no doubt you’ll see every variation of Barbie and Ken (plus Allan) and characters from “Top Gun,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Oppenheimer” and more on Halloween night.

• The summer’s biggest tours: Beyoncè’s “Renaissance” and Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tours were the cultural events of the summer. Expect plenty of cowgirl boots, metallic looks and recreations of outfits both women wore on stage.

• Horror favorites: This year’s horror-themed costumes will likely include characters from pop culture favorites like “Wednesday” and “M3GAN.”
