Fayetteville theater offers immersive events focused on community issues

“Shelter” is a site-specific play created to explore community issues in Fayetteville. Developed and written from interviews with people who live in the 7hills Homeless Center and other low-income housing developments, this immersive experience takes theater – and participants – on the bus.

Performed on routes 1 and 2 of Ozark Regional Transit and in several key locations throughout South Fayetteville, “Shelter” highlights intersecting issues like housing insecurity, public transit and poverty. You can catch the pay-what-you-can play May 25 and 26.

Artist’s Laboratory Theatre is a community-based, site-specific theater dedicated to live, immersive events.
