Sylva, in the NC Great Smoky Mountains, landed number four on Expedia’s top ten cleanest cities in the country.
Located in Jackson County, Sylva is committed to balancing people, products and planet by focusing on natural resources for enjoyment. Sylva boasts an annual Greening Up the Mountains Festival celebrating the city’s environmental efforts, and residents show their sustainability commitment by hosting the Tuckasegee River Clean-Up, the nation’s largest single-day river clean-up.
