February marks Heart Month, an annual observance encouraging Americans to focus on their heart health. CHI St. Vincent asks whether individuals with chest pain know when to call an ambulance or take antacid, since symptoms may be similar.
Take this quiz to test whether you know what to do. Remember to call an ambulance if you are experiencing:
• Shortness of breath
• Dizziness and lightheadedness accompanied with clammy skin
• Sudden chest pain
• Sudden loss of vision or feeling in one side of the body
Patients with a family history of heart disease or high blood pressure should consider seeing a cardiologist.
