Listening to Your Clients

by

“Communication is key?” I disagree. “Listening is key” is more accurate. Communication can be meaningless if you are not truly listening to your client. This will reveal what is important to them and how they’re feeling. Here are a couple tips to enhance your listening skills and practices.

  • Make an effort to schedule regular communication with your clients either over the phone or in person so you can really talk it out. Email only gets you snippets – not full context.
  • Ask pointed questions. Those key details will help you make critical evaluations, build relationships and show how much you care.
