The hottest storefront on the market? Facebook. Gerritt Whittaker seized the opportunity when creating Properly Marked, a private Facebook group specializing in selling monogrammed gifts.
“I love creating and offering fabulous items at reasonable prices. Properly Marked’s private Facebook page has allowed me to do just that,” Whittaker said. “An item I would have normally retailed in a storefront for over $50, I can offer for $35.”
Without the added hassle and expenses of a traditional brick-and-mortar store, Whittaker has been able to successfully produce and sell to a niche market created via word of mouth on Facebook.
