What is illegal dumping? It’s just that – illegal, and a danger to the public health of Arkansans and to the environment. When individuals or businesses dispose of waste in any location not permitted by ADEQ, illegal dumps control officers work with other agencies to find those responsible and ensure successful clean-up.
The most commonly seen is commercial waste: construction debris, landscaping waste and tires.
Some might assume dumping is okay in rural areas or on their own property, but this is incorrect. There are currently 15 active illegal dump complaints in Pulaski county alone.
