Greenland Increases Trail Safety

by

The City Council of Greenland, Ark., recently voted to apply for a grant from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission that would support the installation of lights along a city trail.

Trail systems in Northwest Arkansas have expanded over the past year. There are currently over 200 miles of biking trails and walking paths across Bella Vista, Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville.

The trail in Greenland will loop a half-mile with exercise equipment along the sides. The goal of the grant and light installation is to increases safety and encourage more citizens to visit the trails and parks in the area.
