Dempsey Bakery among the best gluten-free options nationwide

As gluten-free options have become more prevalent, a local restaurant was recently recognized for its menu. Little Rock’s Dempsey Bakery, a mainstay among downtown eateries since 2011, was named the No. 6 gluten-free restaurant in the country by renowned gluten-free site Me & Gfree.

Dempsey offers a lunch menu including soup, salads, sandwiches and pizza, as well as breads, cakes and other baked goods. In addition to its gluten-free selections, the bakery also has egg, dairy and sugar-free products.

Dempsey was the only Arkansas establishment among the 150 restaurants compiled by votes from the site’s readers.
