UCA’s largest donation in school history represented more than just a major gift; it was a commitment to the future of visual and performing arts. The $20 million donation from the Windgate Foundation will be used for the construction of music and theater performance areas as well as 44,000 square feet of art space.
The Conway-based school became the latest among many universities to invest in art departments. Shortly after UCA’s announcement, The University of Texas at Dallas received a $23 million gift and an entire collection of Asian art from the family of Trammell and Margaret Crow.
