The premier fine arts museum in the state has big plans for its future. Earlier this month, the Arkansas Arts Center announced a $128 million fundraising campaign to renovate and expand its landscape.
New features will include a two-story atrium, a cultural living room, a visitor entrance hall and a restaurant with outdoor seating and new walking paths. The campaign will also provide renovated facilities for the Museum School, new state-of-the-art galleries and an updated children’s theater, among many other amenities.
Construction is set to begin this fall, with a grand opening scheduled for early 2022.
