Waynesville, Lake Junaluska, Hickory and Cherokee are among the places to find Folkmoot, the North Carolina International Folk Festival recently rated a Top 20 Event in 2016 by the Southeast Tourism Society.

For more than 30 years, this annual summertime festival has featured hundreds of performers who share their cultural heritages over the course of two weeks through authentic costumes, dance, music and cuisine.

Folkmoot USA is a nonprofit whose mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures through dance, music, costume, handicraft and culinary traditions. This year’s Folkmoot festival runs July 21-31. Purchase your tickets here.
