If your preteen loves the outdoors or you want to build their appreciation for nature, sign them up for a week of Junior Park Ranger Camp (starting July 15, 22 or 29). Children will engage with the natural environment in Little Rock’s 64 parks by learning about the flora, fauna and history while engaging in summer fun like birding, hiking, fishing and swimming.
The program teaches children about interconnectedness, fosters their awe of the natural world, educates them about Little Rock’s ecology and helps develop the scientific and social skills necessary to become future advocates for environmental and social issues.
