Fayetteville residents can now pedal their way around town thanks to a new bike-share program. The program was created through a partnership with the University of Arkansas and the Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission and approved by the city council last month.
Riders can access 290 standard 7-speed bicycles and 50 pedal-electric assist bicycles. For those interested in trying it, first download the app, which will help find a bike, unlock it and also locate a designated parking spot.
The bikes are available in the downtown area, on the University of Arkansas campus and on city trails.
