According to the CDC, the prevalence of autism in Arkansas in 2020 was estimated at 1 in 66 children compared to 1 in 54 nationally, and that number has grown by over 10% since 2019.
Enter the Arkansas Autism Foundation (AAF), founded by local advocates to offer autism-friendly events, workshops, resources and training in addition to grants for new and ongoing programs. Join the AAF’s Autism Festival and Walk April 20 for a one-mile walk, activities, refreshments and an informational resource fair.
Also, during the month of April, a portion of the money spent at participating retailers will support the foundation.
