Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art previewed its new entrance, which includes an elevator tower and pedestrian bridge. It will open in June before the launch of “Chihuly: In the Gallery and In the Forest.” The new entrance aims to provide access and connection to the grounds.
“Expanding access by developing new areas of the grounds and adding entry points to the museum helps deepen our relationship between art, nature and architecture,” said Rod Bigelow, executive director, in a release.
Work to the north forest has been done in preparation including carefully routed paths to flow with the natural landscape.
