The 2018 “Delta des Refusés” kicks off at the Butler Center and the Cox Creative Center June 8 for 2nd Friday Art Night. It will continue through August and runs from 5-8 p.m.
“Delta des Refuses” is a counter-show to the Arkansas Arts Center’s “Delta Exhibition.” Channeling the spirit of the 1863 Paris “Salon des Refusés,” the exhibition only accepts art rejected by the “Delta Exhibition.”
Led by artists, the show embraces the ideas of freedom of exhibition and expression, with the goal of placing judgment regarding artistic taste into the hands of the public.
