Arkansas Cinema Society Launches First Event

by Michael Polzella

The Arkansas Cinema Society, formed in March and championed by writer/director and Little Rock native Jeff Nichols, has announced its first-ever event featuring film screenings and Q&A sessions with Adam Driver and David Lowery.

“A thriving film organization that unites Arkansans through their common experience of film and bridges filmmakers to the larger industry is essential to the health of the filmmaking ecosystem in our state,” said ACS Executive Director Kathryn Tucker. “Because of the support we’ve garnered locally and within the larger filmmaking industry, our inaugural event – ‘Premiere’ – is only a taste of what’s to come.”
