Commemoration Series: Community Events

In honor of the 60th anniversary of the Central High School integration, make sure to visit these events:

• “Will Counts: The Central High School Photographs” highlights 38 images documenting the integration and is on display at the Arkansas Arts Center through Oct. 22.

• “Surface of the Sky,” an original score for percussion, honors the experience of the Little Rock Nine and will be performed at the Butler Center Sept. 8.

• University of Central Arkansas will host a series of events, “Imagine If Buildings Could Talk,” including a 3D mapping of the school and animated video, on Sept. 23 and 24.
