Downtown Little Rock expands ambassadors program

by
Little Rock

If you’ve been downtown, you’ve likely seen them. Little Rock’s two red-shirted ambassadors were originally hired in 2017 to aid visitors and residents in the central business district around Main Street. Last week, Downtown Little Rock Partnership expanded the program to include the River Market.

Now with four ambassadors wearing neon-yellow reflective shirts, the program also covers the blocks between Cumberland and Sherman streets. Their responsibilities include helping people find destinations and walking them to their cars. When not assisting citizens, ambassadors look for maintenance issues such as graffiti, broken windows, trash and street lights that are out.
