Leadership: A difficult but rewarding task

Search for “leadership” on Amazon and you get over 60,000 titles; don’t even ask about Google. It may be the trendy topic of the decade.

The best definition I have ever heard came from a participant at a leadership development retreat I was facilitating: “The more of this kind of work I do, the more I believe that leadership is about becoming a fully functioning human being.”

A skilled leadership team, focused on a worthy outcome, ego in check and sense of purpose clear, is a force of nature. Leadership is the competitive advantage. If only it were easy.
