The 36th Annual Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day will showcase the first-ever matchup between No. 21-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks and Penn State Nittany Lions at Raymond James Stadium.
“We are thrilled to extend an invitation to Penn State University and the University of Arkansas to play in this year’s Outback Bowl,” said bowl Chair Rita Lowman.
It marks Penn State’s fifth appearance in the Outback Bowl, but its first since losing 37-24 to Florida in 2011. The Lions finished the regular season with a 7-5 record. Arkansas (8-4) will be making its first appearance in the game. Kickoff is at noon.
