Nearly two weeks after the dismissal of Mike Anderson, the University of Arkansas found its new men’s basketball coach. After reported interest in Houston’s Kelvin Sampson and Wichita State’s Gregg Marshall, Arkansas announced the hiring of Nevada’s Eric Musselman on April 7.
Musselman, a former head coach in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, compiled a record of 110-34 in four seasons at Nevada, including a Sweet 16 berth in 2018.
His hiring continued a reshaping of Razorback sports under athletic director Hunter Yurachek, who named Chad Morris head football coach shortly after his arrival.
