NWA Council CEO Resigns

Mike Malone, who has been serving as Northwest Arkansas Council president and CEO since 2006, has resigned and will be leaving the nonprofit in mid-September.

Malone will be working for brothers Steuart Walton and Tom Walton as coordinator for several initiatives in the Northwest Arkansas area.

Malone expressed how he will miss and enjoyed his time at the Council, but is excited for the new challenges awaiting him in his upcoming role.

Donnie Smith, CEO of Tyson Foods Inc. and presiding co-chair of the NWA council, and the executive council committee will begin the hiring process for CEO.
