Fake news and data breaches have put the pressure on Facebook to announce significant changes to its News Feed algorithm. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently said less public content like posts from businesses and brands will be seen but posts from friends and family will increase.

Using Facebook as a means to generate leads and awareness? Don’t freak out. Sure, a paid strategy will always be recommended in today’s digital landscape but remember why you’re on Facebook: to engage with your audience. They want to hear from you. Focus on storytelling, and don’t underestimate the importance of word of mouth.
